BeXta - Celebrating 20 years of Dance
BeXta’s career has been a unique and integral contribution to Australian dance music history.
Starting in 1993, BeXta played her first live show to 3000 people in Brisbane. She soon moved to Sydney initially signing with Sony and following, with Central Station Records, and her own label Mixology Digital.
BeXta has released to date almost 2 dozen singles including the popular Make It Phunkee, the Skirmish Live EP, two albums - "Conversations with ones and zeroes", which hit No8 in the ARIA Indy album charts, and "The Essential BeXta Collection" (2012), 12 Mixology compilations and other compilations including Central Energy, and "Hard Electrik" with Scott Attrill internationally (2011).. BeXta has also remixed many hard dance artists from around the world like Lisa Lashes and Kidd Kaos, and also remixed Vanessa Amarossi, ACDC, Icehouse, Yakooza and Chicane.
Her dj and live performance career highlights include headlines festivals, raves and clubs from her very first gig, playing all across Australia and overseas, tour support for countless internationals like Prodigy, Underworld, Fat Boy Slim, Carl Cox, Showtek, Paul Van Dyke to name a few, more Big Day Out's that any other dj, front cover features on many magazine and street mag publications, her own record label, and radio show.
