My new single, under the alias BeXta V Phats Life, is out next week on iTunes, and everywhere else 2 weeks after.. "SHFL" has been a staple in my set, and also has been used for the finals of the online video comp "So you think you can Shuffle" which finished in March. It hasn't been available yet, so keep an ear out for that one!

This Thursday, Easter Thursday, I'm in Perth, playing at Rise. It's been a while between drinks at Rise, and i look forward to catching up with my favourite Perth buddies! I'm planning on playing some of my new tracks, and playing tech trance, and hard trance and banging. So hope to see you there.

Thanks to everyone who supported SHFL - during the day and the afterparty at PHD. I can't wait til we do SHFL at Family on April 17th. Last time Australian Shuffler was at Family, in January, we had a MASSIVE turnout, and heaps of you jumped on stage with me to show your Shuffling moves! This time we are having a special appearance by Mikki - the winner of So You Think You Can Shuffle. Plus "the Nation" Campbell from BrizShuffle - one of the finalists from SYTYCS. Also we'll be giving some prizes away for the most popular shuffler from the audience. Basically, it's just gunna be loads of fun. Plus it's something different than just little ol' me on the stage lol!! If you haven't checked out Australian Shuffler - DO IT NOW!

Also, if you're in Darwin, you'll know I missed Australian Shuffler up there a few weeks back. I was taken ill and unable to travel. So we have just locked in another date so i can make it up to you!! May 2nd, i'm on that plane, to come back with Brooklyn Bounce. So see all you Darwinians there!

NYE event announced - Bungalow Bar in Broome!! It's a live show too, so there'll be al original tunes - including "in my mind", and "vip" from this year, and a few old favs like "one for the road",  "Make it phunkee" and "Drum Beets go".

The new single "in my mind" was released this week at all good download stores including iTunes, Beatport, trackitdown etc. There's 5 mixes including a vocal trance, a remix from Rupert "DJ RSK" from Sonic Animation, and a Sunday morning mix. The track is a collab with Sydney rock band "Meza". Check it.

Finally! I get to write on bexta.com. I just had my first weekend off for this year, last week, and now i'm hanging in the studio. So here's an update on what's happening, and what's coming up for the rest of 08.

The Mixology 11 tour was fantastic - it went from Broome to Brisbane, from Melbourne to Mackay, and the Uk's favourite lady of trance Sophie Sugar joined me along the way. It was great having another dj on the road, but what happens on tour...stays on tour!

I recently visited Asia, where I played in Manila and Guangzhou. Thanks to the Chemistry crew who put on the Manila gig - I played the first Chemistry parties when they were held in Sydney, so it was great to play with old friends again. The Hennessy party in Guangzhou was something else - launches a new range of mix drinks - there were 3 dj's and we were each on our own moving dj both. How cool is that!

First week of December I have a new single out called "In my mind" - a collab with Sydney rock band Meza.. There's a sneak peak on my myspace - go to the Mixology Digital link and there it is! More to come..

This year there's a few gigs til the end of the year, but i'm spending time in the studio at the moment. The gigs have been updated above, but some highlights include Enchanted in Adelaide, the Bass Australia birthday first week of December (which i'm playing a hardstyle set), Earthcore in New Caledonia, and NYE in Broome!! Broome is a live show too, so cannot wait!

MiXology 11 - Mixed by BeXta (AUS) and Sophie Sugar (UK) is set to be released July 17, 2008. This release will be supported by an extensive tour of Australia (see gigs top right).

News- This Friday is the first of my new residency at Sublime, Home. I will be playing there every month, once or twice a month, depending on touring. Also, I'm officially a StarGarden resident in Melbourne, playing there once or twice a month also. StarGarden is a ViperRoom on a Friday, has given Viper's friday's a much needed facelift.

Saturday March 29th - BeXta is playing an hour set for Triple J's Mixup. Triple J have also confirmed that BeXta will be a mixup guest for the entire month of May!

Stargarden is reopening after a sudden change of venue - i'm playing Good Friday. It's now at Viper. Easter Thursday I'm at Sublime Home if you're in Sidonee.

The new single V.I.P. featuring vocals of Amii Jackson, is set to be released on Feb 19th on iTunes. There is a video clip that's available to check out on myspace (click above). VIP has just been added on high rotation to Joy FM, and I'll be dropping in Thursday 14th to Joy at 5pm for a chat.

BeXta Big Day Out tour shirts are available exclusively at the Merchandise store on the Big DAy Out tour.. We will also put them up here for sale soon, so keep an eye out... there's only a very limited number... this design is made available on red singlets for girls and red tees for guys...

The next single out early Feb, called V.I.P. now has a video clip. Editing and post production are just finished and will be released with the single. We'll have shots of the clip and some sneak peaks on my myspace (link above).

Happy 08 Everyone... I hope everyone had a BLAST. I had a ripper show at the Wharf at Mooloolabah - except for the cyclone it was a great time!!

On the way home, myself, vocalist Amii and some close friends hooked up to shoot my new video clip, for the single "V.I.P. featuring Amii" to be released in Feb. This is a new sound for me, with a new look and some awesome remixes.. so stay tunes for that one, or visit my myspace (link above) for a sneak listen (up by weeks end)..

I've just been asked to play Kiss my Grass, which i'm so EXCITED about. Smack bang in the middle of the Big Day Out tour - it's sure to be an absolute BLAST but don't expect a normal set - this is going to be something COMPLETELY different... more details soon.

I'm off now to hit the studio and line up the tracks for Big Day Out... Can't wait for this, it's more exciting than Christmas!! It's been 3 years since i did the tour and I'm back on the road with the wonderful Carl Cox (the 3rd time we've done BDO together!!).. So i hope to see you somewhere on a dancefloor real soon x

Bexta - One For The Road  (Mixology Digital) Bexta revisits her Recover classic 'One For The Road' for her new Mixology Digital label. This year, BeXta has re-released it on her Mixology Digital label with some brand spankin new mixes, including one from herself, a Fred Baker style mix from the Delegate vs Nick Collings (getting RAVE reviews), Boiler Room Bens electro mix, Mixology Digital label mate Patrik Carrera gave it a tribal tek record, and Bass Australia's Gazmatron gave One for the Road a BANGIN rework.
